The 19th annual Barracuda Championship is just around the corner, and we can't wait to enjoy the event with our partners, customers, and friends. This PGA TOUR event takes place July 31 – August 6, and features a full field of players and uses the Modified Stableford scoring format. The event takes place at the Montreux Golf & Country Club in the Reno / Tahoe area, which is the third longest course on the PGA TOUR. This is northern Nevada's only PGA TOUR event.
If you were with us last year, you witnessed Greg Chalmers take home his first PGA TOUR win after the longest unlucky streak of all active players.
386 starts.
18 years.
1 win. ?There's no raining on his parade today. pic.twitter.com/iEf7cF65Ky

Greg will be back this year to defend his championship. In the 19 year history of the Barracuda Championship, only Vaughn Taylor has won the event two years in a row. He took home the trophy in 2004 and 2005. J.J. Henry is the only other player to win twice, in 2012 and 2015. Other than Vaughn and J.J., we've had a new player win every year.
We're also proud of the fact that this event has generated over $3.6 million in charitable giving. You can read more about this on the official website here and in our blog post here.
If you're at the Barracuda Championship this year, stop by and visit the Cuda Lounge on the 18th green. This is a great place to relax and watch some golf. If you can't make it, keep an eye on the Golf Channel here and Barracuda Golf on twitter here.
